The classic safari runs twice a day, by jeep or minibus, early in the morning and just before the sunset - when the animals are most active.

You start your day waking up before sunrise to the sound of the chanting birds. Morning tea or coffee by the light of a kerosene lamp. Head for the savannah as the sun rises.
