Here is an overview and description of the excursions to the Boat in the Ice. From the description you can follow the link to the weekly programme to see which week days the excursions will take place.
For groups with more than 6 participants we will arrange trips on request, depending on free capacity.

1 ½ DAY TRIP TO THE BOAT IN THE ICE

We will start from Longyearbyen at 18:00 in the afternoon, through Adventdalen, via Eskerdalen and into Sassen where we will pass Fredhaim and get the first glimpse of the boat.

After crossing the ice we will arrive for dinner in warm and pleasant surroundings.
There may be time for a trip out on the ice after dinner if the weather and bear conditions allow.

On the second day destinations will be discussed after breakfast and lunch will be served out in the field.

Back at Longyearbyen at 17:00 in the afternoon and a return to civilisation, and perhaps a small cognac in the loft-room.

Price pr person NOK 5900,- including your own scooter.
Passenger price NOK 4500,-  

2 DAY TRIP TO THE BOAT IN THE ICE

We will arrange a trip to the boat via the Von Post glacier before noon and have lunch on board the boat before we leave for a new trip in the afternoon.
We will often be able to go to the Pyramid and the abandoned city which earlier was the largest settlement on Svalbard before it was closed in 1998.
It is now a ghost town.

Price pr person NOK 7100,- including your own scooter.
Passenger price 5500,-

3 DAY TRIP WITH DOG SLEIGH TO THE BOAT IN THE ICE

The greatest experience is to travel to the boat by dog sleigh.
Standing behind your own sleigh with 5 – 6 Alaskan Huskies, gliding through the Arctic silence, can hardly be described by words.

On the first day of this trip we will travel to the boat by a route that is close to 70 kilometers long.

The second day we will take the dogs with us o the Von Post glacier, and, depending on the weather conditions, we will plan the rest of the day. On the third day we will travel via Elveneset, De Geerdalen and Helvetiadalen on our way back to Longyearbyen.

Price pr person with your own dog sleigh:
Tuesday till Thursday NOK 11900,-
Friday till Sunday NOK 12900,-.

The 3 days excursion we will be running on request when we have availability.

Minimum 2 persons.
