Basecamp Masai Mara is different from most other places in Africa due to our close cooperation with the Maasai. Our cultural and social commitment and the environmental work we do at the camp and in its surroundings all serve to offer you access to stimulating conversation, unanticipated experiences and true wisdom.

Basecamp Masai Mara provides a profound human resource programme for staff development and training. All staff participate in an environmental training programme on ecotourism in practise as well as more specific training.

Basecamp Masai Mara is eco-rated by the Ecotourism Society of Kenya (ESOK).
