Day itinerary as follows:

Day 1
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. Transfer to Basecamp Travel office for breakfast. Departure by road to Masai Mara. Arrive at Basecamp – a small private tented camp beautifully located by the Talek river at the very edge of the savannah. Enjoy a late lunch in the open air restaurant, relax on your tent terrace, prepare for a wildlife adventure! Afternoon game drive, look for  lions, elephants and giraffes. Return to camp before sunset, sit by the campfire in the evening and listen to the sounds of the savannah. Dinner & overnight Basecamp

Day 2

Breakfast at Basecamp and start your first day walking adventures. Meet the guides, listen to the briefing about safety and how the walks will be performed. A full day walking safari, trek vast plains of the northern Masai Mara, hear the story about Moniku, have your lunch on top of a  lava plateau with a breathtaking view of the Masai Mara. Take pleasure in trekking the wild savannah with the Maasai! Learn how to interpret tracks and subtle signs of the wildlife. Continue trekking in the afternoon, before sunset arrive at our bushcamp, sundowner around the campfire, dinner & overnight Dorobo bushcamp.

Day 3
Breakfast and departure for a second full day of walking. Get ready for a walk crossing vast grass plains and small water streams,  climbing hills and lava plateaus with panoramic views. Find a shaded spot, perhaps under a Balanite tree for your picknic lunch. Allow yourself to relax, chat with the Maasai and just enjoy the moment. Reach camp before sunset, dinner & overnight Dorobo bushcamp.

Day 4
Morning coffe or tea and departure for an early morning walk. Enjoy a picknic breakfast in the shade of an Accacia tree, continue trekking. Return to camp, enjoy a nice bush shower, lunch and a well deserved siesta! Afternoon walking safari and sundowner on top of Leopard Hill, return to Dorobo bushcamp for dinner & overnight.

Day 5

Breakfast and departure Dorobo bushcamp, by car. Check in at Basecamp. Take a guided campwalk and have lunch, relax in the viwing tower or visit any of our community projects. Afternoon game drive, return to Basecamp, sundowners around the campfire. Dinner & overnight Basecamp.

Day 6
Breakfast and departure Basecamp, game drives on route through the reserve towards Nairobi and arrive late afternoon for connecting flights etc.

Radio communication and satellite phone for safety when in the bush walking and a stand-by car, first aid kit provided for
